How can we improve learning and education through Augmented Reality?

Everything from our daily lives goes through change, some more than others, some faster than others. We’ve seen that in the last year and a half, things can unpredictably undergo a transformation. You can improve education through AR!

Both students and teachers have revolutionised the educational landscape and learning experiences . More and more resources and tools we use to provide interactive, fun and safe learning alongside useful and engaging EdTech like Augmented Reality in K-12 education.  

But how can we improve our learning experiences through AR technology?

  Technology is only going to keep growing and advancing – so why not advance with it

Helping students prepare and equip themselves for the future, as technology rapidly grows penetrating many aspects of our lives, has become essential. This also allows for students to be at an advantage in their professional life as they develop digital skills from a young age. By using such technology, we can give them more opportunities to explore and adjust to an on-growing digital era.

  Engaging for all students – theoretical concepts can be brought to life and students learn through various tools and skills

AR technology is everything but limiting and exclusive for some, in fact it is the opposite! It is an all-inclusive tool for students with various abilities, it allows for a learning experience that can encourage them to explore content through different skills, it can be visual, audio and other sensor related inputs that bring to life the world around us. 

 It’s not one-sided – students develop life skills  

AR technology can allow for an interactive and engaging learning experience that can increase student’s skills and help build new ones. Students use these skills in their personal and professional lives, it helps boost their personal growth. You can actually interact with the content and allow for your creativity to explore and create new content.

  Students are ‘hands-on’ in their education – benefit from both traditional and digital learning

Real world objects that can be brought to life through the camera on your smart phone or Web-based Augmented Reality. We can augment everything: audio, video etc. allowing for a 3-D representation of the content in real time. We want to provide students with adventures and exploration through EdTech applications, such as Augmented Classroom, where students immerse themselves in a new personalised learning environment and gain collaborative skills.
