In this Podcast:
Itamar Yona from Israel is a 3D printing expert and the CO-FOUNDER & CEO of PrintSYSt.
I’m, also an electrical engineer and provide 3d printing consulting services. I’m working daily with commercial companies and educational institutions as well.
We’re working with Professors, teachers and technical staff from universities, research centers, high schools, and elementary schools.
In the last few months, we also see demand for 3d printing solution even in libraries.
As a company with roots in the printing industry, we have noticed much lower adoption rates and significant frustration experienced by 3D printer owners and service providers who have to go thru the common printing process challenges.
PrintSYSt
PrintSYSt was established to bridge the 3D print complex gap between users and a well-printed 3D model.
We developed a state-of-the-art patented technology platform that enables an automatic 3D printing process with 1 hit on the button. We have harnessed proprietary algorithms, Machine Learning, and Artificial intelligence, culminating in a full end-to-end platform to diminish 3D printing usage barriers.
3D printing gives a tremendous push to stem keys and ideas. Those students that exposed to 3D printing will eventually use digital manufacturing solutions during their jobs and will change manufacturing.
It’s very interesting to see the excitement of those students when they understand the ability to manufacture in class and test it immediately. The use of digital manufacturing reduces time and money and that’s a very important value for the business.
It’s important to understand that 3D printing is the technology and using this tool is the journey. The part is the important one. Those tools are a means to an end.

Itamar is extremely knowledgeable about 3D printing and shares the history of 3D printing and how it can be used not only in the business world but also in the educational environment. We talk about how 3D printing technology is used in the education in Israel, pros and cons, what is easy and what is not. The information will be very valuable for educators who are looking to integrate this technology at their school.
