Rory joined IBIS Capital’s Investment Banking team with a focus on the Media, Technology and Digital Transition sectors. The company is an established sector specialist across investment banking and asset management, with the ability to act as a principal investor both in the public and private markets. Rory’s principal focus includes investment banking coverage across the Media Technology, Healthcare and Education sectors, the origination of investment opportunities and leading the firm’s digital transition market mapping publications.
During his time at IBIS Capital, Rory has also co-founded EdTech Global and HealthTech Global whose mission is to build communities in the Education and Healthcare sectors by bringing together the key decision makers through its CEO conferences, company awards and industry research. Its conferences in EdTech are recognised leaders in Europe and Asia with 30,000 members globally. In 2016, Rory became a founding trustee of Anonymous Child, a charitable organisation supporting victims of child abuse into education.
Rory started his career at the TMT Investment Banking team at Jefferies & Co where he worked with high-growth international clients across the European Technology, Media, Internet and Telecommunications landscape. Previous working experience includes UBS and Kraft Heinz in Europe and Asia. Rory is a graduate of the University of Bristol with a BSc in Accounting & Finance.
